Amber Hall | WPA Division

Amber Hall graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a master’s degree in social work in 2018, having also obtained a certificate in human services management and gerontology. A licensed master social worker (LMSW), she has experience working with older adults in the community and in long-term care facilities.

Amber became the assistant divisional social services director for The Salvation Army’s Western Pennsylvania Division (WPA) in October 2023 after a few years of direct practice. Although her job primarily entails macro social work, Amber does not hesitate to provide direct services whether it be through seasonal programs or disaster assistance. Her talents have strengthened WPA social services through regular staff trainings, site evaluations, and consistent support to the field.

Outside of work, Amber is a great friend, daughter, and neighbor. She and her boyfriend, Tristen, share two dogs, a bearded dragon, and two chinchillas.

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

—Psalm 82:3–4

March is Social Worker Appreciation Month. Social workers uplift, defend, and transform lives for people, families, and communities, and The Salvation Army is grateful for those who serve.
