The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

At its heart, The Salvation Army is a church whose mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. We love God and serve others because we want others to come to know God’s love too. Every program we offer is rooted in our passion for serving God by serving the lost, the vulnerable, the needy, the poor, the hurting, the helpless, and the hopeless.

Un cantante cristiano, hace algunos años, incluyó en su repertorio una canción que hablaba de la familia como una “especie en peligro”. En ella, el cantor hacía referencia a la violencia en los hogares: hijos contra padres, padres contra hijos, abuso infantil, etc. Hoy, tristemente, el deterioro familiar continúa.
La madre espiritual
Hay momentos en la vida en los que necesitamos la instrucción y las palabras sabias de una buena madre; sin embargo, a veces, las circunstancias no nos permiten contar con la nuestra. Aunque para muchos, la madre no tiene sustituta, a veces Dios nos regala “madres espirituales” que nos ofrecen consejo y ayuda tanto física como emocional y espiritual.
