Open-Air Guitars, 1900

In 1900, in New York City, two Salvation Army “lassies” are rocking out on their guitars in the open air while citizens of the Bowery look on. It’s vibrant street ministry at its best. Do you notice the words printed on the Salvation Army drum in the lower left corner? “Every beat for Jesus!”
