The Whole World Mobilizing Flag
The Salvation Army United States Eastern Territory is ready to be mobilized in mission! With the unveiling of the newly commissioned Whole World Mobilizing Flag, Salvationists of this territory and around the world are preparing to make 2017 a year of unprecedented evangelism and service.
The Whole World Mobilizing: Go Forward is a sending out of Salvationists within their local communities to evangelize, witness, and perform acts of Christian service. A special Whole World Mobilizing Flag has been distributed to every territory to highlight the General’s call to mobilization.
The international campaign is an opportunity afforded to all Salvationists in every territory, command, ARC unit, division and corps, to intentionally share the love of Jesus Christ in practical, demonstrable ways such as open airs, special events, and service projects. It may simply mean re-orienting what you are already doing in your community so that those you serve encounter the Gospel in a fresh and meaningful way.
All 128 territories that comprise the worldwide Salvation Army received their flags at the General’s Consultative Council, held recently in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Presented by General André Cox to the international leaders of every territory and command, the General expressed his hopes that the flags would be flown in every country The Army operates. Far from being a decoration that would adorn a headquarters building, or sit ornately in a chapel, the Whole World Mobilizing Flag is best suited for the open-air. May it serve as a visual symbol of The Salvation Army’s commitment as a movement to Go Forward, and win the world for Jesus!
To help the Eastern Territory to do its part in the upcoming campaign, every division will receive its very own Whole World Mobilizing Flag. May God help us to spread the love of Jesus in our community, our division, our territory, and our world.
