In Spirit & In Truth

A Night of Worship

23 “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24

On Friday June 12th at 9:00PM in Hershey, PA (as a part of the 2015 Commissioning events) the Eastern Territory is blessed to share as a community of believers, a night of free worship. The night will be led by a collection of worship leaders from around the territory:

How is the Lord asking you to worship Him?…whatever the answer is…do THAT!

Alternative Worship Stations

Worship Wall

The Worship Wall; an entire wall covered in paper for worshipers to communicate with the Spirit through art. This station allows those who don’t feel comfortable singing to worship in a creative way, and what we’re left with is a beautiful expression of praise to inspire the whole congregation.

Pray With Me

Pray With Me is a secluded area, sectioned off from the rest of the congregation, as a place to pray, receive prayer and counsel. This station gives worshipers an opportunity to speak freely, confess or pray with a stranger, without judgment or fear of being watched.

Cards, envelopes and pens are available to anyone who wants to write an encouraging letter to an accepted candidate, cadet or new officer. We will make sure it gets to them. Worshipers are encouraged to write outside the Salvation Army as well, but will have to mail it themselves. This station gives participants an opportunity to share what the Lord is doing in their lives, and extend the blessing outside the room.

Have your prayer or a scripture interpreted through a skilled visual artist and take home a physical reminder of your conversation with the Lord.

Giant Prayer Journal

A giant prayer journal laid on the altar is a place for a room filled with hundreds of worshipers to come together as one and pray for each other. Write a prayer request in the center of a blank page then find a page with someone else’s request, and pray for them in writing. As the book fills up, participants can go back and read all the prayers that have been left for them.

Contribute on line with #inSpiritandinTruth as we gather as one Army across the globe.

Artist on Stage

Watch as a piece of divinely inspired art is created on the stage, as a visual artist communicates with the Spirit by creating a piece throughout the evening based on the songs and scriptures that are expressed.
