Commissioners Brian and Rosalie Peddle are Canadian Officers. They come from the province of Newfoundland, where they began their journey as Salvation Army Officers.

Commissioners Brian & Rosalie Peddle

Commissioner Brian was a Cadet of the ‘Companion of Christ’ Session (1975-77) and Commissioner Rosalie as a Cadet of the ‘Overcomers’ Session (1974-76). Over the past 38 years they have served as Corps Officers, Training College Officers and several Divisional Headquarters appointments in their home Territory.

Their first international appointment took place in 2007 when they became Northern Divisional Leaders in the New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory. In 2009 they were appointed to the UK Territory with the Republic of Ireland, as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries.

In July 2011, Commissioners Brian and Rosalie took up their appointments as Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries for Canada and Bermuda Territory. On September 1, 2014 they were moved to International Headquarters in London, with Commissioner Brian taking the role of International Secretary for the Americas and Caribbean Zone and Commissioner Rosalie the Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries.

In October 2007 Commissioner Rosalie received her BA in Biblical and Theological Studies, from the William and Catherine Booth Bible College, Winnipeg. The Peddles are both graduates of The Salvation Army Executive Leaders Program from Simon Fraser University, Canada. Outside their ministry, Commissioners Brian and Rosalie have a number of varied interests and skills. During their free time, Commissioner Brian enjoys kayaking, cycling, hiking and fishing, while Commissioner Rosalie enjoys reading, cycling, hiking and a good cup of tea.

The Peddles share a strong sense of calling as Salvation Army Officers, fuelled by their conviction that God continues to use The Salvation Army to impact our world. They are convinced of their responsibility to preach the gospel, encourage the saints and serve those in need.

They have two daughters, Stephanie and Krista. Stephanie and her husband Adam are active in their community Church in Ontario. Krista and her husband Tim are Salvation Army Officers, serving as Divisional Youth Secretaries for the Division of Newfoundland and Labrador. Commissioners Peddle are delighted to have 5 grandchildren, all under the age of 6 years old.
