Superficially or deeply rooted…

Creek, crack, snap and kaboom were the sounds heard while taking in the beauty of the trees, birds of all kind and the serene lake of Rockland Lake State Park. While into our walk we could hear the sound of snapping, branches cracking and leaves being ruffled as a tree began to fall and rest on the other trees standing beside it. The sounds or even the loud bang did not startle us. What did catch our attention were the roots of the fallen tree which were exposed and one could tell they were not at all embedded deeply within the soil which the tree had been planted so many years ago.

Now that you have welcomed the Anointed One, Jesus the Lord, into your lives, continue to journey with Him and allow Him to shape your lives. Let your roots grow down deeply in Him, and let Him build you up on a firm foundation. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught, and always spill over with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7 (The Voice)

An awesome metaphor of how you and I, should be deeply rooted in our Lord because when embedded deep in Him no wind, storm, difficulties, false teachings or temptations can bring you down. Nothing can shake you since your relationship is sturdy and deeply rooted in His grace, mercy, goodness, love and forgiveness! Please be reminded of the words of Paul when facing a storm, difficulty and so on…“Now that you have welcomed the Anointed One, Jesus the Lord, into your lives, continue to journey with Him and allow Him to shape your lives. Let your roots grow down deeply in Him, and let Him build you up on a firm foundation. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught, and always spill over with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7 (The Voice). Be deeply rooted in our Lord and no matter what storm you may face you will not topple over!
