Cultural Awareness Week, Jan 15 – 21

“From one man, GOD made every nation of men that they should inhabit the whole earth; and GOD determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.” Acts 17:26, NIV

The Eastern Territory of The Salvation Army is part of a growing landscape where people of different ethnic groups intersect. Given the increasingly cross-cultural / multi-ethnic nature of The Salvation Army ministries, it is important to understand the cultural heritage, world view, and needs of the people we serve in order to minister effectively with and to them.

We are pleased to share with you the materials that have been prepared for the 2017 Cultural Awareness Week. This material is to be used in conjunction with the celebration of Martin Luther King’s birthday, the week of January 15, 2017.
