First Gooding awards presented

The College for Officer Training (CFOT) in partnership with the Territorial Committee for Salvationists of African Descent presented the first annual CSM Edward Gooding, O.F., Award of Excellence. This award recognizes the services and achievements of two cadets who have positively influenced the college in the spirit of the teachings and the example of Corps Sergeant Major (CSM) Edward Gooding, Order of the Founder recipient (O.F.).

Members of the CFOT Executive Committee will nominate cadets for consideration and select the recipients. Two awards of $150 each will be given annually.

AWARD CRITERIA: Exemplifying one or more of the following traits of C.H.A.R.A.C.T.E.R.: Christian Witness, Honesty, Academic achievement, Resilience, Adoration of God & The Salvation Army, Community activism, Tutoring or mentoring, Evangelism, and Respect for others.
