Calling all Heroes-in-training to Hero Academy – class is now in session! It’s a special reunion year for the Academy, and the Hero Academy Director, Miss Diana Rector is joined by The Commander, who is in charge of the worldwide efforts of the Hero Academy.

Joining the fun are four of the most successful alumni that have ever graduated from the Academy – Captain Courageous, O Bae, Formation and Miss Mission, each of whom has excelled in a particular area of the four pillars on which the Hero Academy stands:

Alumni are on campus to receive their Lifetime Achievements Awards in these areas. Together, trainees and alumni will study what God’s Word has to say in each of these four essential hero qualities, practice hero skills, learn how to fight the villainous Tormentor, and have a ton of fun along the Way.

Shipwrecked

Venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive. Anchor kids in the truth the Jesus carries them through life’s storms.

Lessons:

  1. When you’re lonely…Jesus rescues! (Luke 15)
  2. When you worry…Jesus rescues! (Luke 10:38-42)
  3. When you struggle…Jesus rescues! (Luke 22:39-54; Matthew 26:36-56)
  4. When you do wrong…Jesus rescues! (Luke 23:26 – 24:12)
  5. When you’re powerless…Jesus rescues! (Acts 3:1-26)

Pre-K – Elementary • Youth

Babylon

Join Daniel–torn from his home and forced into the king’s service. Explore exotic sights and smells in a Babylonian bazaar! Kids and adults will find that they’re not much different from Daniel and his friends, who kept their faith in a faithless culture.

Lessons:

  1. When things change…God is with you. (Daniel 1)
  2. When you need help…God is with you. (Daniel 2)
  3. When you’re afraid…God is with you. (Daniel 3)
  4. When you’re lonely…God is with you. (Daniel 6:1-16)

Rolling River Rampage

Lead kids on an action-packed VBS adventure! Rolling River Rampage invited children on a white-water rafting adventure to experience the ride of a lifetime with God! Along the river, children discover that life with God is an adventure full of wonder and surprise, and that they can trust God to be with them through anything.

Key Verse: Isaiah 43:2

Lessons:

  1. Jesus calls the disciples. (Matthew 4:18-25)
  2. Jesus accepts Mary and Martha. (Luke 10:38-42)
  3. Jesus walks with Zacchaus. (Luke 19:1-10)
  4. Jesus shares a special meal. (Luke 22:14-20)
  5. Jesus makes a promise. (Matthew 28:16-20)

Splash Canyon

Life is full of thrills and spills; we may not know what’s around the bend, but God does! At Splash Canyon, kids discover that, on life’s wild ride, Jesus is by our side.

Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 1:20

Lessons:

  1. God is with baby Moses in the river. (Exodus 2:1-10)
  2. God’s people enter the Promised Land. (Joshua 3-4)
  3. God heals Naaman in the Jordan River. (2 Kings 5:1-14)
  4. God saves Paul from the sea. (Acts 27:13-44)
  5. God’s Yes is Jesus: Jesus is baptized. (Matthew 3:13-17)

Amped

He wants us to live our lives FULLY ALIVE because we can believe that what he says is TRUE.

Key Verse: John 10:10

Lessons:

  1. Live like you know God is with you. (Life of Joseph)
  2. Live like God has a plan for you. (Life of Esther)
  3. Live like Jesus is alive. (Life of Jesus)
  4. Live like people matter. (Story of the Early Church)
  5. Live like you’re part of a bigger story. (Life of Paul)

Time Lab

Imagine traveling through time and meeting the most important man ever–a man who was not just a man, but also God. One who turned the world upside-down. One who existed outside of time. Students will do just that as we embark on Time Lab. They’ll use words beginning with “C” to help them remember that Jesus, our forever faithful, loving, caring, promise-keeping Lord, has been with them always!

Lessons:

  1. Jesus always has been, always will be with us. (Genesis 1; John 1:1-3)
  2. Jesus always has been, always will be a promise keeper. (Genesis 18; Exodus 3)
  3. Jesus always has been, always will be ready to love and forgive those who want to become his child. (Selected Verses)
  4. Jesus always has been, always will be in charge. (Acts 1; John 14:2-3)
  5. Jesus always has been, always will be in charge. (Revelation 21-22)

Pre-K – Elementary • Teen & Adult Study

Camp Moose on the Loose

Students will experience a camping theme where they hike, canoe, and fish–complete with tents, campfires, and wildlife. Through the lessons, kids will learn about the life of Christ as seen through the eyes of Peter and will discover the lasting forgiveness that only Christ can give.

Lessons:

  1. Peter follows Jesus. (Luke 5:1-11)
  2. Jesus shows His love and forgiveness. (Luke 18:15, 16, 35-43; 19:1-10)
  3. Peter fails Jesus. (Matthew 26:30-56; Mark 8:27-33; 14:26-50; John 13:33-38)
  4. Peter denies, but Jesus forgives. (Luke 22:54-62; 23:33-47)
  5. peter discovers God’s forever forgiveness. (Mark 16:1-7; John 20:1-10; 21:1-22)

 24/7 – Jesus Makes a Way

The lessons are based on stories Jesus told of how God provides every hour of every day so that we might have life and live it to the fullest! Children, youth, and adults will have fun discovering that abundant life is based on a strong faith foundation, sharing in community, seeking justice, persistent prayer, and the forgiveness and love of Jesus Christ.

Key Verse: John 10:10

Lessons:

  1. Jesus compares building a house on sand and on rock. (Matthew 7:24-29)
  2. Jesus teaches that holy things (bread, days) are for the good of people. (Mark 2:23-28)
  3. Jesus tells a story about a woman who gets justice from an unjust judge. (Luke 18:1-8a)
  4. Jesus describes how God cares for birds and flowers. (Luke 12:22-31; Phillippians 4:5-7)
  5. Jesus teaches his disciples about God’s forgiveness. (Matthew 18:21-35)

Action Bible VBS

Get ready for an action-packed VBS journey where kids discover how to love. Believe, trust, and witness as they engage in God’s big story of redmeption! Each day features lessons that turn storytelling into an unforgettable experience that points to Jesus as Savior.

Take kids on adventures alongside their favorite Bible heroes and discover the qualities that make us truly heroic in God. Hero Central will help kids and leaders discover their strength in God!

Mighty Fortress

At Mighty Fortress, kids read real Bible stories about real people to learn real life lessons from Scripture. From the Opening to the Closing, every aspect of VBS is designed to help them better undertstand the Bible and grow in their faith.

Lessons:

  1. God’s might tumbles Jericho’s walls. (Joshua 6:1-20)
  2. God delivers King Hezekiah’s kingdom. (2 Kings 18-19)
  3. God’s Word reforms King Josiah. (2 Kings 22:1 – 23:20)
  4. King Jesus enters Jerusalem. (Luke 19:28-40)
  5. Jesus wins the victory. (Luke 23:1 – 24:12)
