Our goal is to help children develop social and communication habits, decision making and life skills, character, and leadership in a balanced environment for learning, developing, and caring that is age-appropriate and Christ-centered.

What is a Moonbeam?

The Salvation Army Moonbeam program is a holistic Christian Education experience for girls and boys in pre-k and kindergarten.

 

What are the goals of the program?

The goal of the Moonbeam program is to help boys and girls develop: 

  • Positive social and communication habits
  • Artistic flare and giftedness through a Biblical worldview
  • Christian values and Biblical principles
  • Physical, mental, spiritual, and social development in a safe environment for learning, developing, and caring that is age appropriate and Christ centered.

 

Requirements:

  • Be four or five years old (six if still in Kindergarten)
  • Attend four consecutive troop meetings
  • Learn the Moonbeam Pledge, Motto, and Prayer

The goal of the Sunbeam program is to help girls to develop:

  • Christian values and Biblical principles
  • Physical, mental, spiritual, and social development in a safe environment for learning, developing, and caring that is age appropriate and Christ-centered

  • Be at least in the first grade
  • Attend four consecutive troop meetings
  • Recite the Sunbeam Pledge and Declaration

What is Girl Guards?

The Salvation Army Girl Guard program is a holistic Christian Education experience for girls in grades 6-12.

 

What are the goals of the program?

The goal of the Girl Guard program is to help girls to develop:

  • Decision making and life skills
  • Character and leadership

 Through a Biblical worldview by encouraging:

  • A sense of personal identity and character
  • Christian values and Biblical principles
  • Physical, mental, spiritual, and social development in a safe environment for learning, developing, and caring that is age appropriate and Christ-centered

 

Requirements:

  • Be at least in the sixth grade
  • Attend four consecutive troop meetings
  • Understand the Girl Guard Aim

I understand that as a Girl Guard: 
I will grow spiritually by increasing my knowledge of God through Bible study and prayer. 
I will grow mentally by being honest in my thoughts and actions and by developing the mind and talent God has given me. 
I will grow physically by protecting myself from all harmful substances and habits and by developing a healthy body. 
I will grow socially by being respectful, friendly, of service to others and loyal to my country.

What is Adventure Corps?

The Adventure Corps program consists of the Explorer program (Grades 1-5) and the Ranger program (Grades 6-12). The Explorer and Ranger programs are organized into individual troops, and sponsored by the local Salvation Army corps.

 

What is the purpose of this program?

The purpose of Adventure Corps is to provide a program that gives a boy an opportunity for personal growth spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially; and to increase his understanding of service to others by exploring God’s Word and God’s world.

This purpose is expressed in the Adventure Corps Pledge, Prayer and Motto, which must be understood by all members, and are the guiding principles for all programs and activities.

 

Requirements:

For Explorers:

  • Be in at least the first grade
  • Attend four troop meetings
  • Recite the Prayer, Pledge, and Motto

For Rangers:

  • Be in at least the sixth grade
  • Attend four troop meetings
  • Recite the Prayer, Pledge, and Motto

What is Boy Scouts?

The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

What is Club 316?

Club 316 combines all our badge-earning, corps youth programs–Sunbeams, Girl Guards, and Adventure Corps–into one. If your corps is dealing with problems that make these programs hard to do on their own, Club 316 is for you!

Club 316 is meant to be tailored to your group depending on your kids specific needs. The program makes it easier to have a combined group, while still passing badges in each individual program.

What is SONday’SCOOL?


SONday’sCOOL is curriculum for weekday Sunday School which provides easy to use lesson plans, including games, bible stories, songs, bible verses and more! 

The goal of SONday’SCOOL is to share the love of God and the message of redemption to those who come in contact with our community programs.

The primary mission of Sunday School is evangelism and Christian Education. The objective of SONday’SCOOL is both evangelism and Christian Education. Frequent decision opportunities are built into the curriculum.
