Young Adult Ministry Opportunities



The Salvation Army has so many opportunities for you to give back to your community: around the corner and around the world! Your local Salvation Army may have food pantry programs, clothing drives, after-school programs, music academies, along with so much more! To find out about what programs need volunteers in your area, contact your local Corps Officers!

 The territory also has some very special programs that are available to everyone in the territory. Here are a few programs to consider being apart of!

Summer Camp

 Every year, camps across the Eastern Territory are looking for young christian men and women in their teen and young adult years who are passionate about youth!

Hands On Mission Team

Hands On is a short-term, summer missions program designed for young adult members of The Salvation Army between the ages of 18 and 28 who are eager to engage in serving others. Hands on team members will have the opportunity to express their love, commitment, and passion for Jesus Christ while partnering with Salvation Army ministries in different cultures for the purpose of evangelism, humanitarian aid and personal discipleship.

CAST (Creative Arts Service Team)

This 8-week mission team consists of a group of Christian young-adults (18 or older) gifted in creative arts with an emphasis on acting, music, and dancing. They are led by adult leaders who provide spiritual and practical guidance.

TAM (Territorial Arts Ministry) Conservatory

TAM provides the opportunity for young people ages 14-25 to train in the areas of Drama, Video Production, Technical Production, Dance, Choreo-Drama or Worship Team. TAM provides young people with intensive training to encourage spiritual development, artistic excellence, leadership in arts ministries, and innovative ways of communicating the Gospel. In addition to their chosen major, students also participate in a spiritual formation small groups and have the opportunity to view and participate in several high caliber productions.

Summerbrass

Summer Brass Mission Team

This 6-week mission team will consist of a group of Christian young-adults gifted in brass and vocal performance. They will be led by adult leaders who will provide spiritual and practical guidance. The objective of this team will be to use brass and vocal performance and education to support the vision and mission of The Salvation Army.
